  Great food! We had an issue with one of our orders but owner came over apologized removed it from our bill! She was friendly and sincere. Will definitely be going back.

  Dinner for a party of three was less than good at Windmills on March 23rd, 2017. We have been there twice before and the quality of the food has declined with every visit. That said, we began the evening with the Mussels Portuguese. The mussels were properly cooked but were tepid in temperature and many contained sand. This was not pleasant in the mouth. The broth was delicious though, and paired very well with the grilled crostini. For our main dishes, we ordered the braised lamb shank, the maple bacon burger and the blue and relish burger. The braised lamb shank was tough to say the least, seemingly not braised at all. The meat needed to be cut and pried off the bone, where the expectation was of moist, fall off the bone lamb meat. Both burgers were good in flavour, and the toppings enhanced them both, although the patties themselves were quite dense and required something to moisten them, perhaps infusing this in the patty or topping them with more condiment. The service throughout the evening was decent, but lacked energy. The waiter did not even ask how our meal was at the end of the evening. All in all, we did not enjoy our dining experience and we do not believe that there will be a future visit to Windmills for us at this time.

  Great service, good size portions, friendly staff. Great spot for brunch. Food was standard nothing to go wow about but very good comfort style brunch.
