  Online reviews are important and should be honest. Just visited Kingston for a weekend & reviews indicated this was a good place to make reservations for. It wasn't. Only offered a late time, showed up to a half empty restaurant. Ordered app, mains and drinks. Drinks and app came. then nothing. 1 hour and a half after we sat down (one hour since they cleared our app plate) we asked for our bill. They asked if we wanted to wait longer for the Mains or have them taken off the bill? Such a joke. Wasted our evening, it was so late. Paid our bill for what we had. Got snacks at the corner store and went back to our hotel.

  Wanted to have a nice Sunday brunch whilst we were spending the day in Kingston. From my quick search online, Le Chien Noir seemed to be a promising option. Upon entering the restaurant was surprisingly empty, but that was not necessarily a bad thing. The service was great and our waiter was very helpful. The menu had what I would think is a limited number of options for brunch/breakfast items, particularly if you are looking for sweet dishes. The food was nice, but when you take into consideration the prices they are charging for the dishes, the food nothing extraordinary that would justify such prices.

  Great French food. Wine and beer suggested were the perfect match with our meal. For French people who moved to Canada a year ago, this was the closest we got to a great French Restaurant, at a reasonable price. Service was very friendly, and the back patio was perfect for a cool weather

  Went here the other night for a late dinner. Wasn't sure what I was in the mood for but decided to try something new and order the chicken supreme. Although the wait was a bit longer than normal, it was well worth it! I would say the chicken supreme here was on top. It was full of flavour and was served with a baked potato salad. If I am ever back in Kingston, I know where I'm going.
